Digital Product Licence & Terms of Use - MatiArtBox

1. About the Products

MatiArtBox sells downloadable digital files created from original hand-painted and hand-drawn artworks by Matylda Bestyńska.

All artworks are entirely human-made and never AI-generated. No physical item or original artwork is included with the purchase of a digital file. The original physical artworks remain the property of the artist unless sold separately.

Original artworks and digital files may bear the artist’s signature MATBEST and the copyright notice © MATBEST. Some earlier original artworks may bear the artist’s former signature, ZiMatik. Both MATBEST and ZiMatik identify original artworks created by Matylda Bestyńska. All rights reserved.

2. Licence and Permitted Use

After purchasing a digital file from MatiArtBox, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may:

  • download and store the purchased files on your personal devices;
  • create a personal backup copy;
  • print the files for your own personal use;
  • provide the files to a professional printing service solely for the purpose of producing prints for your personal use;
  • resize the files or make minor technical adjustments when necessary for personal printing.

The printing service may use the files only to complete your personal print order and should delete them after the order has been completed.

3. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • resell, sublicense, redistribute or share the digital files;
  • make the files available to another person, except to a professional printing service as expressly permitted above;
  • use the files or printed artwork for commercial, promotional or business purposes;
  • use the artwork on products intended for sale;
  • use the files with print-on-demand services for commercial purposes;
  • substantially alter, modify or create derivative works based on the artwork;
  • claim the artwork as your own;
  • remove copyright information or the artist’s signature;
  • upload or distribute the original digital files or high-resolution copies on websites, social media, file-sharing platforms or digital marketplaces;
  • upload the files to artificial intelligence systems, image generators, training datasets or blockchain platforms, or use them to create NFTs.

4. Intellectual Property

All artwork and digital files remain the intellectual property of Matylda Bestyńska.

Purchasing a digital file grants you only the limited personal-use licence described above. It does not transfer copyright, ownership or any commercial rights to the artwork or digital file.

All rights not expressly granted under this licence are reserved by the artist.

5. Digital Files and Printing

Digital files are made available after successful payment. No physical product will be shipped.

The final appearance of a print may vary depending on the monitor, printer, ink, paper and printing method used. Slight differences in colour, contrast or brightness do not mean that the digital file is defective.

For the best results, professional printing is recommended, although the files may also be printed at home.

6. Payment

Prices are displayed in EUR unless another currency is shown at checkout. Payment must be completed before the digital files are made available.

Payments are processed securely through the payment methods available at checkout.

7. Refunds and Problems With Files

Refunds and exchanges are governed by the separate MatiArtBox Refund Policy.

If you receive an incorrect or damaged file or experience difficulty downloading your purchase, please contact me at info@matiartbox.com and include your order number. I will be happy to help resolve the problem.

8. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in your country of residence.

9. Changes to These Terms

MatiArtBox may update these terms from time to time. Any updated version will become effective when it is published on the website. By continuing to use the website after the updated terms have been published, you agree to the revised terms.

Updates will not retroactively change the licence terms applicable to digital products purchased before the updated version was published, unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed with the customer.
